As a first-generation college graduate from a rural area, I know how life-changing education can be. My journey began in a middle school classroom, helping students who struggled with reading. That鈥檚 where I found my passion for literacy, student success and learning. My career in higher education grew from a desire to give others the same transformative opportunities that shaped my life.
That mission brought me to Georgia Southern. Our College of Education has a strong reputation鈥攍ocally and nationally鈥攆or its outstanding programs and exceptional faculty.
Our professors are not only leaders in their fields, they鈥檙e deeply committed to your growth and success.
We also work closely with local schools, community organizations and other academic programs to ensure you get real-world, hands-on learning experiences. And our faculty鈥檚 innovative research continues to drive progress in education.
Whether you鈥檙e preparing to be a teacher, counselor, school psychologist, media specialist, researcher, or leader鈥攖here鈥檚 a place for you here. Let us help you turn your passion into purpose.
